Meet Arnaldo Bomnin
Arnaldo Bomnin and The American Dream
Arnaldo Bomnin's journey of achieving the American Dream began
when he emigrated from Cuba in 1996 with only a gold watch and three gold rings
to his name. He has come a long way-from arriving in the U.S. with no money and
no knowledge of English-to becoming the owner of Bomnin Automotive Group.
Today, the group comprises thirteen franchises under eight rooftops, all
located in Miami-except for one dealership in Virginia and another in New York.

Arnaldo's pursuit of the American Dream began with the courageous
decision to leave his home in Cuba, leaving behind his family and a successful
career as a medical doctor. Undeterred, he began working in landscaping and
selling lobster on the streets of Miami. One day, while selling lobster at a
local dealership, the General Manager recognized Arnaldo's exceptional sales
skills and offered him a life-changing opportunity as a sales associate. From
that moment, Arnaldo's story became one of relentless drive and success. He
quickly rose to become the top salesperson, holding the title for 15
consecutive months and consistently exceeding dealership goals.
In August 2000, Arnaldo was promoted to Sales Manager at a
Chevrolet dealership in Miami and later to General Sales Manager in 2005. By
2007, he was promoted again to General Manager. It was during this time that
the country entered the Great Recession-the longest economic downturn since
World War II. While many panicked, Arnaldo saw opportunity and pursued his
boldest ambition yet: dealership ownership.
After years of outstanding performance and a proven track record,
Chevrolet recognized Arnaldo's potential. On November 10, 2010, he acquired a
dealership formerly known as Kendall Chevrolet. The small, outdated store,
selling about 76 vehicles per month, underwent a remarkable transformation
under Arnaldo's leadership. It reopened as Bomnin Automotive Dadeland in
November 2013, celebrating the grand opening of a brand-new 39,000-square-foot
facility in the heart of Miami.
Bomnin Automotive Dadeland achieved extraordinary success,
becoming the #1 Chevrolet dealership in the Southeast Region of the United
States for multiple years (2016 to 2022), ranking #2 in the U.S. during 2021
and 2022, and #4 in 2023 and 2024. The Dadeland store consistently ranks among
the top five Chevrolet dealerships nationwide and has earned the prestigious Chevrolet
Dealer of the Year Award for eleven consecutive years, from 2014 to 2024,
selling over 800 retail cars and trucks each month. From January 2020 to
November 2024, the store ranked second in total new car sales in the United
States.
On November 30, 2016, Arnaldo acquired Grand Prize Chevrolet
in Miami, Florida, which was selling approximately 230 vehicles per month at
the time. Renamed Bomnin Automotive West Kendall, the dealership sold an
impressive 356 vehicles in its very first month under new ownership. It went on
to become one of the largest new vehicle retailers in Florida. In 2021, it
surpassed Dadeland to become the #1 Chevrolet dealer in the world-a
remarkable achievement, especially given its proximity to the Dadeland location.
West Kendall ranked #2 nationally in 2023 and has earned the Chevrolet
Dealer of the Year Award for seven consecutive years (2017-2023). Bomnin
Chevrolet West Kendall ranks as the largest Chevrolet dealership in the USA
in total sales from January 2020 to November 2024.
In April 2018, Arnaldo extended his reach into the Mid-Atlantic
region by acquiring a Chevrolet dealership in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
It reopened as Bomnin Automotive Manassas and quickly became the largest
Chevrolet dealership in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. It ranked #30
nationwide and earned Chevrolet's coveted Mark of Excellence Award in
2019.
In October 2019, Arnaldo acquired his fourth dealership overall
and third in South Florida. The acquisition of what became Bomnin Cadillac
Chevrolet Homestead completed the "Bomnin Triangle," joining Dadeland and
West Kendall stores. Located in Homestead, FL, this became Bomnin's first dual
Cadillac and Chevrolet dealership.
Although 2020 began with great promise, including the addition of Bomnin
Mitsubishi on the West Kendall campus in February, it quickly turned into
one of the most uncertain periods in recent history due to the COVID-19
pandemic. Despite the challenges, Arnaldo remained resolute in his mission to
provide stable and meaningful employment to all Bomnin Automotive associates.
Later that year, in November 2020, Arnaldo acquired his seventh
franchise with the addition of Bomnin Volvo Cars Dadeland. While it may
have surprised outsiders, the Bomnin team expected nothing less than success.
In 2021-its first full year in business-Bomnin Volvo became the largest-volume
Volvo dealer in the United States and has held the top spot nearly every month
since. Bomnin Volvo Cars Dadeland has been the largest Volvo dealer in
the USA every year since 2021.
In December 2023, Arnaldo acquired two more stores: Bomnin
Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Doral and Bomnin Alfa Romeo Fiat Doral.
Although operational for less than a full month, the Doral location ended
December as a top 20 CDJR dealer. By the end of March 2024, Bomnin Chrysler
Dodge Jeep Ram was the largest CDJR dealer in the nation by new car volume.
In March 2025, Arnaldo expanded Bomnin Automotive's footprint to
the Northeast by acquiring Grand Prize Nanuet, a well-established
dealership in New York. The location was rebranded as Bomnin Chevrolet
Cadillac Buick GMC Nanuet, marking a significant milestone as the group's
first operation in the state. In its very first month of operations, Bomnin
Nanuet delivered a record sales month in the history of the franchise.
Arnaldo has long been driven by a vision of giving back to the
South Florida community that welcomed him so many years ago. He has supported
numerous charitable organizations and takes immense pride in working side by
side with the more than 1,000 associates employed by Bomnin Automotive Group.
Whether it's helping residents find meaningful employment or donating a vehicle
to a family in need, Arnaldo finds nothing more rewarding than being a pillar
of his community.
The story of Arnaldo Bomnin and the rise of Bomnin Automotive
Group serves as an inspiration to all who dream of achieving the American
Dream. The teams at our dealerships in Miami, Manassas, VA, and now Nanuet, New
York, strive every day to lead by example. Our tagline, "Committed to
Excellence," is more than a slogan-it reflects the way we treat our
associates and customers every single day. As Arnaldo says, "We sell
cars, but our passion is giving back to the community."
